Since 2020, within the framework of the Las Candelas festivities in Gamonal (Burgos), this festival has been held with the aim of giving visibility to bands with fewer opportunities.
At the end of each year, a registration process is opened for bands wishing to participate. From among them, a specialised jury selects 3 bands to perform at the Las Candelas Zurbarán Rock Burgo festival. One of them will directly become part of the Zurbarán Rock Burgos line-up for that edition.
