Rock comes back to Burgos! Next Saturday 25th January, from 19:00 h, the Plaza Nueva in Gamonal will be full of energy with the 4th edition of the free festival ‘Las Candelas – Zurbarán Rock Burgos’.
This musical event, which is growing year after year, will have a double category this time, opening its doors to bands from all over Castilla y León.
5 BANDS IN 2 CATEGORIES.
Castilla y León category:
- CORVUS V. (León):
Band that combines a wide range of styles, from modern metal, hard rock, groove and industrial. Their career includes one EP and four studio albums, the most recent being ‘Iter’ (2024). - BLAZE THE TRAIL (Valladolid):
Exponents of metalcore, they have an EP (‘Off The Ground’, 2017), an LP (‘Not A Game’, 2019) and several singles, such as ‘Kill The System’, ‘When Worlds Collide’ and ‘Signs’. - MORTAL MAZE (Segovia):
With a style that fuses thrash metal with elements of power, black and speed metal, they have released a demo and an LP (2022).
Burgos category:
- CINNAMON:
Band with garage, hardcore punk and stoner influences, noted for their energetic and raw sound. - MÄMUT MÆNTRA:
They call themselves ‘psychotropical rock’, their proposal combines stoner sounds and the influence of ‘dessert rock’.
At the end of the evening, one band from each category will be selected to take part in the free Zurbarán Rock Burgos festival, which will take place on 18 and 19 July 2025 in the central Parque de San Agustín.
ZURBARÁN ROCK BURGOS 2025: first confirmations of the 8th edition.
The July line-up has already revealed some outstanding names, such as:
- STRATOVARIUS: World heavy metal icon with more than 30 years of experience.
- HELL IN THE CLUB: Italian hard rock with the powerful voice of Tezzi Persson at the front.
- HADADANZA: Folk metal from Alicante that promises a show full of magic and melody.
A total of 18 bands will complete the line-up, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
